Versioning

A very important feature of Weni is Versioning. This feature allows the user to have multiple versions of the same intelligence, making it possible to switch between datasets to perform training, testing, translations, and other adjustments without affecting the other versions. This allows one dataset to remain stable while improvements and adjustments are made in others.

In this article, you will learn how to manage versions in Weni.

Adding a Version Al

l intelligences are created in the default version, which we call 'master'. So, if you don't add any versions, all your data will be in this default version.

First, go to Settings -> Versions, and a list of all available versions of the repository will appear.

On this page, you can Edit, Duplicate, or Delete any version by simply clicking on the respective icons for each version of your intelligence.

To add a version, select the version you want to duplicate, type the new version's name, and confirm.

Note: Only letters and numbers are allowed.

Now you can edit your dataset without affecting the original dataset!

Editing the Name of a Version

To edit a version, click the edit icon, type the new version name, and confirm.

Set Main Version

As mentioned, when creating a new intelligence in Weni, all data is set to the main version, which we call Master. To change the main version of your intelligence, click the "Major version" button for the intelligence and confirm the operation.

Delete a Version

To delete a version, click the Delete icon next to the version you want to remove from your intelligence and confirm.

Make sure before deleting a version, as the deleted data from that version of the dataset cannot be recovered!
